Presenter:  Gerardo Ceballos | HVAC Applications Engineer, KCC

Gerardo has spent the past 15 years specializing in HVAC design for critical applications such as clean rooms, laboratories, and other industrial applications. Over the last six years, he has focused on optimizing HVAC design for Indoor agriculture, helping growers and design engineers across the country understand the importance of proper system design to maximize crop yield and energy efficiency. He currently works as an Application Engineer at KCC in Louisville, Kentucky.


Topic: HVAC Design for Indoor Agriculture

This presentation will cover the two main types of grow facilities as well as the differences between rooms and design conditions across the growth cycle the plants. Highlighting why comfort cooling principles and rules of thumb are not applicable and the intricate relationship between grow strategies, load calculations, and system design.
